Hereville: How Mirka Got her Sword by Barry Deutsch (9780810984226) has won the 2011 Sydney Taylor Book Award for Older Readers!
This is the first time a Graphic Novel has won the award.
The Sydney Taylor Book Awards, honoring "new books for children and teens that exemplify the highest literary standards while authentically portraying the Jewish experience" and sponsored by the Association of Jewish Libraries, have been announced.
